text: Apr. 30. Johannes primus Latinorum Tholomaide civitatis episcopus makes a sealed eleemosynary grant to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem. He remits the payment of all tithes owed in his diocese to him and his cathedral, the church of the Holy Cross. In return the brothers of the Hospital renounce a dispute they had with the church of the Holy Cross because the chief northern door of the church had been built over a house belonging to them. The charter was drawn up [muneris auctor] by Johannes and is confirmed by the bishop Johannes. Witnesses: Gualterius canonicus; Joannes Romanus frater ecclesiae S. Crucis; Hugo frater ejusdem ecclesiae; Radulphus frater ejusdem ecclesiae; Gaufridus de Aunis cappellanus; Guarinus de Torguolant vicecomes; Bernardus camerarius; Mainardus de Portu; Nicolaus de Trana; Pontius de Rubia; Doretus; Fulco, frater ejus.

Baldwin, per dei gratiam in sancta civitate Ierusalem Latinorum rex sextus, records under seal that in his presence and in his curia Balduinus Ramarum domnus had made an eleemosynary grant [masking a sale] to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem and Iosbertus magister Hospitalis, remitting for ever the census of 200 besants a year, which they had paid him for the casale called Sancta Maria. In return Iosbertus magister and the brothers of the chapter of the Hospital had given Balduinus in charity [caritative] 1700 Saracen besants. Witnesses: Odo magister Templi; frater Berengarius Templi senescalcus; Raimundus comes Tripolitanus; Heinfridus constabularius; Balianus de Hibelino; Aimericus de Lisenian; Petrus de Cresecca; Anselmus de Pas; Atto de Marla; Roardus de Ioppe; Amalricus de Cesarea; Robertus de Pinkeni. text: Apr. 1. [157] Jerusalem. Henricus Trecensis comes palatinus, records how he has visited the tombs of the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob at Hebron. Out of sympathy for Bishop R. and the canons there he makes a sealed eleemosynary grant, giving them an annual rent of 60 librae of Provins, to be drawn from the revenues of Troyes, and a house in that city which the canons can occupy. He frees the canons from the payment of dues. Witnesses: Henricus comes Grandis Prati; Gaufridus frater ejus; W. de Sancta Maura; W. marescallus; Artaudus camerarius; Robertus de Milli; Theobaldus de Fumis; magister Philippus; magister Hugo; Nicholaus capellanus; Petrus Tristandus; Milo de Pruvino; and others. The charter was drawn up by Stephanus cancellarius.
