He confirms that the raisins will be transported to the hospital each year. Baldwin, per gratiam dei in sancta Hierusalem Latinorum rex quartus, with the advice and consent of Queen Melisende and his brother Amalricus comes Ascalonitanus, makes a sealed eleemosynary grant for the benefit of the souls of the kings his predecessors and himself, confirming for his [Royal] Hospital of St John the Baptist at Nablus and the brothers serving God and the poor the gifts made up to the present by his predecessors: the casale called Letaria, given by King Baldwin II; 100 cantaria of grapes [racemi] and a vineyard near Nablus, given by King Baldwin II, which by a grant of King Fulk would be transported by royal officials [regii bailiti] to the Hospital’s winepress [torcular]; all the goods of any pilgrim who should die intestate [on the road] between Castellum Beleismum and Lubanum or between the stone, which marks the boundaries of the lands of Cacho and [terra] Maluarum, and Lubanum.
