Pope Alexander III reports to all the prelates of the patriarchate of Antioch that he has heard that the prince of Antioch [Bohemond III], who has married [Theodora] the daughter of the Byzantine emperor Manuel, wishes to subject the church of Antioch to [the patriarchate of] Constantinople. He orders the prelates to resist and to persuade the prince to reverse his decision. They must take care to preserve the castle called Cursarium, which is of the highest use to the church of Antioch.

Pope Alexander III reminds King Baldwin IV that after complaints from the Genoese consuls his father King Amalric restored the Genoese golden inscription in the church of the Holy Sepulchre. The Genoese have complained that thereafter Amalric destroyed the inscription and confiscated money that belonged to them. The pope orders Baldwin to restore the inscription and return the cash.
