text: Oct. 1-31. At the request of dominus Philippus de Ybellino, Hugh, Dei gratia rex Cipri, confirms under seal an eleemosynary gift, made by Philippus, to benefit especially the soul of his mother [Queen] Maria [of Jerusalem], of an annual rent of 100 white besants [bisantii albi], 50 modii of wheat and 25 mitretae of wine, to be drawn from the returns of his casale of Prestrona, to provide for the [chantry] chaplain he has established to celebrate Mass in the church of Nicosia for his mother Maria. If Philippus should ever alienate the casale its new possessor will be obliged to keep up the annual payments. Witnesses: Iohannes de Ybellino dominus Berthi; Galterus Cesarum Cipri comestabilis; Galterius de Bersam; Gormundus de Bersam; Petrus Chape; Iacobus de Rivet. The charter was drawn up by Rad[ulphus] cancellarius regis Cipri, archidiaconus Nico-siensis.
