text: Apr. 15. Tarsus. Leon, per Dei et Romani imperii gratiam rex Armeniorum, informs Pope Innocent III that following the military assistance given to him against the pagani the previous August by frater Garinus de Monte Acuto magister and the brothers of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem he has made a sealed eleemosynary grant to the Order, giving them the city of Seleph, Castellum Novum and Camardesium. He is confident of their future support for him and his nephew and heir Raymond Rupen. He asks the pope to confirm his gift.
