text: Jul. 27. Ferentino. Pope Honorius III informs the bishop and chapter of Limassol that magister W. clericus, who is a favourite of King Hugh of Cyprus, has asked that they admit him to a benefice, called assise, which is worth less than a prebend, in their church. Since it will cost little or nothing and could be a benefit, the pope asks them to admit magister W. as a canon, but he has also ordered the patriarch of Jerusalem and the bishop and cantor of Acre to investigate whether there could be any reasonable objection to this.
