text: Apr. 1-6. On his deathbed Patriarch [Gibelin], Jherosolimitanę servus, asks Baldwin, Jherusalem rex gloriosus, to speak to Arnulfus archidiaconus, summus amicus meus et filius meus, and to protect the Holy Sepulchre. He demands that the canons of the Holy Sepulchre eat together, following the practices at table of good churches, particularly those of Lyon and Reims. He asks the king to see that his last testament is carried out and to confirm its provisions.

text: Mar. 18. Benevento. Acknowledging the furore caused by his decision to grant churches which had previously [Turcorum vel Sarracenorum temporibus] been subject to the patriarchate of Antioch and the protests of Patriarch Bernard, Pope Paschal II strictly enjoins Baldwin, illustris Hierosolymitanorum rex, to forbid any further incursions by the clergy of Jerusalem into the rights of the patriarchate of Antioch.
