text: Nov. 1-30. Acre. With the advice and consent of frater Bartholomeus de Moretto magnus preceptor militie [Templi] in regno Jerusalem, frater Reinaldus de Vicherio preceptor palatii domus [Templi] Accon and other brothers, frater Armannus Petragoricensis pauperis militie Templi magister leases under seal to the magister and brothers of the domus Sancti Lazari leprosorum Jerosolimitani in civitate Accon a locus in the vicus Anglicorum in Mons Musard, having to the east the public way, to the west the sea, to the north the house of St Thomas the Martyr [domus Sancti Thome Martiris] and to the south an alleyway [venella] going to the sea and next to the house of Nicholaus Anglicus. The rent, payable each year on the Feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist, is 15 Saracen besants of Acre weight. The brothers of St Lazarus can build on the site, as far as the sea, but should they wish to sell, the Knights Templar will have preemption rights. The rent will still be payable. The site may not be sold or pledged to religious houses, men from the [merchant] communities or secular milites. The Knights Templar will keep the street in repair to allow the brothers of St Lazarus access to the water in their cistern, which is on the other side of the public way next to a house and boveria of the Templars.
