text: Apr. 10 - Dec. 24. Jerusalem. With the agreement of his wife Stephania, Nicholaus Manzur has sold for 300 besants to magister Rogerius de Molinis and the brothers of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem a rent [censuales] of 20 besants, which he has received each year from the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem [represented by dominus] [163] Helanus parmentarius for some land with a vineyard, which is next to the road that goes to Bethlehem, is bordered on the south by the land of Greek nuns and the Armenians of St James, on the east by the old road which goes to the lacus patriarche, on the north by the cemetery of the Holy Sepulchre. It stretches as far as a cistern belonging to Nicholaus. In future the Hospitallers are to hold the land freely. The sale has been confirmed by Nicholaus and Stephania in the curia, in the presence of King Baldwin IV. It is approved by the royal castellan and at the castellan’s orders Robertus de Rancheni, acting for the king in such sales, has accepted 2 besants and 2 solidi.
