text: Shortly before Dec. 25 1180 - Sept. 10 1181. Hugo Flandrensis, with the agreement of his mother, his brother Reginaldus, his wife and children, sells frater Rogerius magister Hospitalis and the brothers of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem a casale called Chola free of servitium for 3000 besants. He makes the sale in the curia of his lord Balduinus Ramathensis dominus, from whom he held the casale in feudum. Balduinus Ralmathensis dominus, with the consent of his brother Balianus and his son Thomas confirms the sale with his seal [sigillum Ramathensis]. Witnesses: Andreas Andegavensis; Petrus de Erneis; Balduinus de Rages; Bernardus de Armorville; Balianus de Saumes; Ernulfus vicecomes; Martinus Gazele; Bernardus Camerarius; of the brothers of the Hospital, frater Garnerius preceptor; frater Hugo de Calcalia; frater Stephanus thesaurarius; frater Richardus Anglicus. The charter was drawn up by Alanus capellanus.
