They confirm the eleemosynary gifts of Mauricius Montis Regalis dominus to the Hospital. These are specified as: a casale in the territory of Mons Regalis called Benisalem with its villani on both sides of the river; in the vicus of Mons Regalis, Caissar filius Tamin with his heirs and possessions, and land which is situated between the vineyard of Seguinus and [that of] Gullelmus Hasin; a house in Mons Regalis; a casale called Canzil in the territory of Petra with its rustici and with a gastina called Hable which is adjacent to it; a house in Petra; land next to the vineyard that belonged to Johannes Castellanus and afterwards to the archbishop; a ship [navis] for transporting Hospitaller goods, freed from any duty [sine precio vel munere]. Rainaldus and Stephania confirm the Hospital’s possession of a small herb garden [ortus pro habendis herbis], previously given by Stephania. They also give partly cultivated land which dominus Tebaldus de Betun had held in the Vallis Riparie during his lifetime. Egidii comitissa, is admitted in common chapter by magister R. de Molinis as a consoror of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem. She chooses to be buried in the Order’s cemetery. She makes a sealed eleemosynary gift to the Hospital and the poor of the casale of Betheras on the plain of Ascalon, which she had bought with all its rights. She imposes the condition that while she remains in the East the Order will give her 500 besants a year, payable on the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. If she should return to the West, the Order will provide her, in place of the 500 besants, with 12 and half marks in unadulterated silver of Troyes weight, payable each Pentecost in the Hospital’s chapter, meeting at Quierzy [Ceresers] or elsewhere. After her death the Order will bury her as a consoror and commemorate her obit every year. The king ordered Ioscelinus, his uncle and senescalcus, some brothers of the Hospital - with the permission of Rohardus -, Antelmus de Luca, Radulfus de Nigella and others to walk the ground and measure out the boundaries. Rohardus then publicly renounced his claims.
