At the request of Iohannes abbas and all the convent of the abbey of St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat, Balianus Neapolis atque Ybelis dominus, with the agreement of the lady queen his wife, records under seal that he ordered a drawing of the boundaries of the land of Ascar and the land of the mountain above Ascar, the latter being in the lordship of Nablus, and he mandated Bernardus Pelliparius, Guido raitz and Guido de Ascar to investigate. These burgenses went to the site and put boundary marks [metae et bunnae] marked with crosses to indicate the boundaries. Witnesses: Garinus Gainardus; Iohannes Lumbart; Hodo de Marne; Reimundus Bobin.

He orders the count of Tripoli to warn Hugo that this is rebellion.

He details them as: a vicus or platea in Jerusalem and in Jaffa and a third part of Caesarea, Arcuf and Acre, together with a third part of the duty payable on entry to the cathena and the entry charges of these cities, extending for a league [leuga] around them. The king is to cooperate with the archbishop of Nazareth and the masters of the Knighthood of the Temple and the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, or two of them, in restoring the Genoese rights.
