text:
July 1258 to April 1259. Pope Alexander IV writes to King [Hugh II] of Cyprus, relating that the urgent and evident necessity of the kingdoms of Cyprus, Jerusalem, Armenia, and Egypt, the province of Antioch, and other areas of Outremer requires that he send a legate, to which office he is assigning Bishop T[homas] of Bethlehem (Bethlemitanus). The pope urges the king to treat the legate in proper fashion.
