April 30. Acre. Guillaume de Chastel Nuef, master of the Hospital issues a sealed document in which he declares that in the dispute between John of Ibelin (Johan d’Ybelin), count of Jaffa and the Hospitallers concerning the matter of Ascalon which is subject to the arbitration of Phelipe de Montfort, lord of Tyre and Tozon, Hugue Revel, grand commander of the Hosptialler house of Acre, and P[ierre] d’Avalon, constable of Tiberias, that, at the arbiters’ request, he agrees to an extension of the deadline for the completion of their arbitration to the feast of St John the Baptist and that he will be bound by their arbitration. Witnessed by the Hospitaller brothers: Joffrei de Raillane, acting in place of the marshal, Guillaume des Corcelles, Phelipe de Glies, Guichart the drapier, Henri the hospitalier, P. the turcoplier, Joseph the tresorier.
