text:
January 13. Naples. Pope Alexander IV writes to the suffragans of the church of Nicosia (Nicosiensis), both Greeks and Latins, relating that reason and their pontifical modesty requires that they treat Archbishop [Hugo] of Nicosia (Nicosiensis) with fraternal affection and, along with those subject to his metropolitan rule, revere him. Thus the pope urges them to show the archbishop fitting obedience and reverence as their metropolitan, observe and have observed by their subjects his justly promulgated sentences, and assist him and his church.
