Aymar de Lairon, seignor de Cesaire de par sa feme Juliane, and Gautier l’evesque d’Acre, emissaries to King Philip II of France on behalf of John of Ibelin, the regent, and the leaders of the kingdom of Jerusalem, promise conte Johan de Briene the crown of Jerusalem if he will marry Maria [of Montferrat]. When he comes to Acre they will pay homage and hand over the kingdom to him.
