. September 12. Assisi. Pope Innocent IV writes to the [bishop of Tripoli], relating that, in order to bestow greater favour on Giovanni da San Vitale and other clerics devoted to him whom the bishop has received as canons in the church of Tripoli on the pope’s authority, the pope grants that he can admit them to the deliberations of his church (ad communes ipsius Ecclesie tanquam canonicos admitti tractatus), no statute withstanding.
