. January 15. Lyons. Pope Innocent IV writes to Master Filippo, canon of Tripoli, relating the background concerning the election of N[iccolò] as archbishop of Tyre (see letter of 26 October 1250, RRR 2789) and, because of his merits, allowing him to keep the canonical prebends he possessed in the churches of Tyre and Sidon before the concession of the chantry of Tripoli, such that he shall reside in Tripoli as cantor and assign worthy vicars for his prebends in Tyre and Sidon.
