Dec. 15. Lateran. A papal judge had imposed on Bertrannus [de Cares], miles, penitential service in the Holy Land on account of his part in the murder of the bishop of Le Puy. [333] The late patriarch of Jerusalem had been reluctant to take responsibility for him. Pope Honorius III, therefore, has sent Bertrannus to the magister of the Knights Templar ordering that he fulfil his sentence of service for 7 years with the Order [domus].
