(1215). [303] Abbot Gervase of Prémontré thanks King John of Jerusalem for his letter and rejoices in the good health of the king and his daughter. He and his chapter are saddened by the state of the Holy Land. He encourages the king and assures him of the prayers of all the Premonstratensians, especially at Mass, with particular reference to John and his daughter. He asks John to favour the Premonstratensian brothers of St Samuel now residing in Acre and to restore them to their old abbey once it is recovered.
