Jan. 13. Lateran. Pope Innocent III informs the patriarch of Jerusalem that he has heard from the patriarch of Alexandria about Christian prisoners in Alexandria. The patriarch of Alexandria has asked him to work for an exchange of prisoners. Innocent orders the patriarch of Jerusalem to facilitate an exchange and to raise subventions for that purpose, persuading the Knights Templar, Hospitallers of St John, kings and princes to assist him.
