*Sept. 14. Nordhausen. Emissaries from the patriarch of Jerusalem and the magistri of the Knights Templar and the Hospitallers of St John appear at the court of Philip of Swabia, king of the Romans, to appeal for assistance. Philip grants a 5-year tax of 6 denarii for every aratrum of land and 2 denarii on every city merchant as a subsidy for the Holy Land.
