Sept. 1. [227] With the agreement of his wife Sibilla principissa, Bohemond, princeps Antiochenus, the son of Prince Raymond, makes a sealed grant to the consulate and community of the Genoese. He gives them freedom from the payment of commercium on their goods and merchandise, whether imported or exported, and from the payment of any duty [consuetudo] to the princely curia on sales and purchases throughout his land in Antioch, Latakia and Gabulum and in any other territory he might acquire. Witnesses: Hugo de Logiis; Radulfus constabularius; Gervasius senescalcus; Petrus de Logiis; Petrus de Asardo; Oliverius came[rarius]; Bartholomeus marescalcus; Oddo de Maire; Hugo de Curbulio; Willelmus de Sancto Paulo dux Antiochie.
