text: Apr. 1-30. Petrus Dominici Sepulcri prior, together with the canons, gives Arnulfus, the son of Bernardus/Bernaldus Syrianus, and his heirs houses built over vaults exchanged with the Hospital [of St John] and situated over the Holy Sepulchre’s oven, which is on the road that leads to Mt Sion, and a statio next to the oven for an annual census of 9 besants, payable at Easter. If the bases of the houses resting on the vaults are damaged, that party, the Holy Sepulchre or Arnulfus, which has been negligent will be responsible for repairs. If Arnulfus extends the houses and wishes to sell, the Holy Sepulchre will have preemption rights, paying 1 silver mark less than the price. Otherwise any purchaser, burgensis vel Syrianus, will be subject to the same rent. The cost of any repairs to the statio will be borne by Arnulfus. The canons give custody of the key to the cistern to Arnulfus, who must provide the procurator of the oven with water if he needs it when making repairs. text: Jun. 8. With the assistance of probi vires Jerosolimi, N. Sancti Sepulchri prior and his chapter resolve a dispute with Bonetus, the son of Martinus Caraena, over houses that Martinus had given to the Holy Sepulchre. They concede to Bonetus the entire volta of these houses. Bonetus and his heirs will pay the Holy Sepulchre an annual rent [censualiter] of 2 besants, payable on Palm Sunday. If Bonetus should die without heirs the volta will pass back into the possession of the Holy Sepulchre. text: Sept. 8. With the agreement of his chapter and in the presence of Patriarch Amalric of Jerusalem, P. Ecclesie Dominici Sepulchri Prior leases under seal to Magister Rotericus and his brothers, milites, committed to the Cistercian profession, who wish to reside in the land of Jerusalem, some land, situated next to the tolum Patriarche to the left of the road at magna Mathomaria, for a rent [censualiter] of 10 besants, payable annually on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross. The land is bounded on the east by the land of Sanctus Helias, on the west and south by the road beween it and the land of the patriarch, and on the north by the rotunda [tolum] of the patriarch and the land of Nicolaus Scriba and Willelmus Megeleus. Without the payment of additional rent, the canons add another pecia terre with a cistern to the west, which used to be occupied by a man called Angeler.
