King John of Jerusalem records that Beatrix, the daugher of comes Iocelinus who was constituted by her husband procuratrix with administration over all their properties, renounces in the king’s presence and in that of the High Court [curia regis] the claims she had made against frater Garinus de Monte Acuto, magister of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, over the casale called Manueth.
